The Model Mama

FEATURE FRIDAY: HEIDI STEVENS

MOMMYHOODTara Lawler

Hi truly amazing Mamas! I hope you all had an incredible week and a fabulous start to Fall. It’s Friday and you know what that means… a new episode of The Model Mama Show is now LIVE (woo hoo!). It’s week 10 of our FEATURE FRIDAY series and I’m thrilled to announce this week’s truly inspiring Mama, Heidi Stevens. She’s a Business and Positive Mindset Coach who focuses mainly on coaching female entrepreneurs and helping them elevate their businesses to new heights – sign me up! I love how she integrates her unique positive mindfulness and spirituality into her business strategy. Her workshops are so powerful. Last January, I had the privilege of attending one of her workshops called, “Setting Money Goals and Making Dreams a Reality,” at her gorgeous home in Los Angeles. That is where I first met and fell in love with this insightful Mama.

In addition to being a leader in the business world, Heidi is most importantly a devoted Mama. She has a busy little boy, Harrison, and a brand new little girl, Grace.

Recently, Heidi launched her own podcast titled, The Soul of Business. This was a very special interview for me because I remember sitting at Heidi’s home planning out my dream of launching this platform. Nothing was done or created at that point, everything was merely an idea that I was trying to figure out how to bring to life. This talented Mama is the one who really gave me the push I needed to put my dream into action. With that said, it was pretty wild having her sit down as a guest on my show. Every time she talks I have my notepad handy. Her calm presence and natural wisdom is just too good to miss.

I don’t know how she does it all… but she does it with grace (and Grace!), a sense of humor and so much intention! This mama will undoubtedly become your new go-to girl for all things business, money talks, and how to manifest your dreams. She’s so honest, down-to-earth and hilarious about her transition to Motherhood and how she navigates her oh-so busy life. I had way too much fun chatting with Heidi… tune in below for all her insights and positive perspective!

Some of my FAVORITE takeaways from Heidi:

+ Empowering women by helping eliminate the fear of talking about money:

As women, we are blessed today to go out and earn money, run businesses, have success! And yet, I find so many women are still very squeamish around knowing their value and asking for support. I get excited about empowering women around money, but really it’s about the trickle effect that occurs once a woman gets that confidence and starts earning that money.

+ Do whatever makes you happiest:

I love being a mom! But I am also really an entrepreneurial businesswoman! And so I started to own that and to look for a way to do both of these things that’s best for both me and my family. It’s about giving ourselves permission to do that, and everyone’s story is going to be so different
— Heidi

+ Delegation is the key to success:

On the one hand we’re empowered to do all the things, and on the other hand we’re all striving for this perfect life, and it’s exhausting. For me, it’s all about priorities and finding great people to support me in whatever I’m up to… what is most important to you, and what kind of support do you need to do that?
— Heidi

+ Make time to meditate:

I do my very best to get in a five minute meditation in the morning, and I make a conscious effort to not look at my phone. In an ideal world, I like to do some journaling as well but that doesn’t always happen. Sometimes I have to do it after I drop my son off at school. I can feel my mind buzzing in the morning and wanting to get things done, but when I take that space to pause I feel more aligned and centered.
— Heidi

+ The importance of a calendar:

I live by my calendar, and consequently I’ve noticed how every, single moment counts! As a mom I have to be so efficient with my time. I have to hold myself accountable to what needs to get done. Mapping it out in my calendar makes me so much more productive.
